Course Overview
The ARCHICAD Professional: Architectural Modeling & BIM Workflow is a practical, project-based training program designed to take learners from the fundamentals of ARCHICAD to professional architectural modeling and documentation.
The course introduces learners to the ARCHICAD working environment, Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, architectural modeling tools, project organization, 3D visualization, and construction documentation.
Through structured lessons and practical projects, learners will develop the skills needed to create architectural BIM models, organize multi-story buildings, generate sections and elevations, and prepare professional layouts and project documentation.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to independently develop a complete architectural project in ARCHICAD—from initial project setup and floor-plan development to 3D modeling and final documentation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the fundamental concepts of BIM and ARCHICAD.
- Navigate the ARCHICAD interface and working environment confidently.
- Set up and organize architectural projects effectively.
- Use essential modeling tools, including walls, slabs, columns, beams, and roofs.
- Create and customize doors, windows, and architectural openings.
- Organize projects using stories, layers, and project structures.
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D architectural BIM models.
- Generate sections, elevations, and other project views.
- Prepare dimensions, annotations, layouts, and professional project documentation.
- Apply materials and basic visualization techniques to architectural models.
- Export architectural documentation in PDF and DWG formats.
- Complete both single-story and multi-story architectural BIM projects from start to finish.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is suitable for:
- Beginners who want to learn ARCHICAD and BIM from the ground up.
- Architecture students and graduates.
- Civil engineering students and professionals.
- Architectural designers and drafting professionals.
- Construction professionals interested in BIM workflows.
- Anyone interested in developing practical architectural modeling and documentation skills.
Prerequisite Knowledge
No previous ARCHICAD or BIM experience is required.
Learners should have:
- Basic computer skills.
- General familiarity with using computer applications.
- An interest in architecture, engineering, design, or construction.
The course begins with the fundamentals and gradually progresses toward professional project development.
Learning Approach
The course follows a practical, step-by-step learning approach. Learners begin by understanding ARCHICAD and its interface before progressing to individual modeling tools, 3D visualization, documentation, and complete architectural projects.
The final chapters focus on applying the acquired skills to realistic projects, allowing learners to connect individual ARCHICAD tools with a complete BIM workflow.
Course Duration
4–8 Weeks | Self-Paced Practical Learning
Learners can progress through the course at their own pace while practicing the tools and project workflows demonstrated throughout the lessons.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion from Laambad e-Learning Platform / Benadir Research Center, recognizing their practical knowledge and skills in ARCHICAD BIM modeling, architectural design workflow, and project documentation.
