📘Course Description

An epidemiology course provides foundational knowledge on studying the distribution, frequency, and determinants of health-related states in populations. Students learn to identify disease causes, risk factors, and evaluate public health interventions through research methods like study design, surveillance, and data analysis

This epidemiology for health Provisional and medical students’ course is designed to equip students with the basic concepts of epidemiology, communicable disease epidemiology, measures of disease occurrence, establishment of disease causation, epidemiological study designs, outbreak investigation and management, screening in disease control and epidemiological surveillance. Introduces quantitative measures to determine risk, association and procedures for standardization of rates.
